What age is this guide best for?
This is best for ages 1 and up. It’s great for kids who are older than toddler age, too! The reason it’s not best for babies under 12 months is that some products and recipes do contain honey, which is not safe for babies under 12 months. And, some of the foods will be difficult to handle for babies who aren’t fully established on solids.
We have allergies in our house… is this guide allergen-friendly?
There is a table at the end of the guide identifying the products that contain top 8 allergens (wheat, tree nut, peanut, milk, egg, soy, fish, shellfish). However, you must ALWAYS check packages before serving, to ensure it is free of the allergen(s) that must be avoided.
Is this good if we eat vegetarian?
Yep! There is very little meat in this guide. There are vegan options included as well.
What if I live outside the U.S.?
There will likely be many product recommendations that you will not be able to find in other countries. I’m sorry!!
I make feeding babies, toddlers and preschoolers easier and less stressful!
Deciding to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist was a big undertaking but I’m so grateful I did it. I wanted to be a trusted resource for parents who just want to know how to navigate feeding their kids. So if you’re looking for help that actually works in the real world, you’re in the right place.
